Trane
Why CAS Installs Trane
From the moment we began installing heating and cooling systems in 1983, we understood that our customers could rely on Trane products for continuous comfort.
Trane has more than 120 years of experience in the business, including a distinguished history that includes fundamentally changing the concept of air conditioning large buildings with the launch of Turbovac, the industry’s first hermetic, centrifugal refrigeration machine.
In the 21st century, Trane still manufactures products that are efficient to operate, work when they’re supposed to, last for a long time, and create the ideal indoor environment – whether it’s for your home, business, or multi-use facility. That is because Trane does everything with a purpose. They design, test, and build their own parts – all with an eye on withstanding the toughest conditions. In fact, Trane puts its products through 16 weeks of extreme hot and cold condition testing, with some units enduring more than 2,600 hours of continuous testing. It is an approach that helped them receive designation as America’s Most Trusted HVAC Brand in 2020 by Lifestory Research, which is based on more than 8,000 opinions collected over the course of the prior 12 months. Trane also earned the same honor in consecutive years 2015-19.
Trane Offers Unique Engineering
Trane constructs its components from uniquely engineered designs, and this helps them to produce several advantages. For instance, it is one of the ways they help ensure one of the quietest running HVAC systems in the industry. Trane utilizes the industry’s only Hemi Anechoic acoustic sound chamber to determine the sound levels its HVAC systems produce and tunes them accordingly.
Meanwhile, Trane is continuing to look forward – typified by a recent joint venture with Mitsubishi to focus on ductless and VRF heating and air conditioning development in commercial and residential channels.
Conditioned Air Systems is also proud of its position as a Trane Comfort Specialist, which is a special designation awarded to highly qualified specialists that are committed to being the best in installation, service, customer satisfaction, and employee training.
Trane holds 1,500 HVAC patents and counting for its heating, cooling, air purification and thermostat technology. Featured in those decades of innovation are several recent developments, including:
- Climatuff compressor – The world’s first successful heat pump compressor.
- Spine Fin coil – An all-aluminum outdoor coil that provides greater heat-exchanging capabilities.
- Hyperion air handler – A revolutionary design featuring refrigerator-styled insulation.
- ComfortLink II communicating capability – A constant digital communication that optimizes performance, comfort, and efficiency.
- Comfort-R Technology – Regulates airspeed at startup to carefully control humidity levels.
- TrueComfort control – Provides precise comfort by running at the exact speed needed to keep you comfortable.
- WeatherGuard II Top & Fasteners – Provides your HVAC system with impressive protection from the elements.
Several of these patents and innovations have garnered awards and recognition. For instance, Popular Mechanics called the Trane ComfortLink II control as one of “The Year’s Most Transformative Products,” awarding it the magazine’s 2010 Breakthrough Award. Meanwhile, Trane CleanEffects was the first whole home air cleaning system to earn Asthma & Allergy Certification.
Trane is also aware of the need for the HVAC industry to consider environmental concerns, and that is why Trane has more than 680 engineers certified as Accredited Professionals under the U.S. Green Building Council’s prestigious Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) program. Trane has also designated 40 engineers to specialize in environmental issues and is expected to double those numbers over the next five years.
